Account Manager – DOD

Job Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of select DOD accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the federal procurement process, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of sales success. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for technology, a hunger for excellence, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and dedication to the customer mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the DOD.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparts at OEM partners.
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions that address their challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal and OEM teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to post-sales customer success.
  • Achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends and federal standards/mandates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT sales, preferably in the public sector.
  • Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of the federal procurement process and regulations (FAR, GSA, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity products and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and OEM partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, or related technologies preferred.
  • Existing relationships with federal agencies and OEMs preferred.
