Red Hat™ partner BlackMesh has been selected by fellow partners to support Computer Marketing Associates (CMA)’s new public sector offering built with Red Hat technology. Teaming together, BlackMesh, CMA, and NTT DATA Federal, Inc. will leverage FedRAMP-authorized OpenShift™ capabilities to deliver a DevOps as a Service (DaaS) solution to the federal government.

CMA’s DaaS offering, available through their National Institutes of Health (NIH) Commodities and Solutions (CIO-CS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), integrates Red Hat’s OpenShift open source PaaS with NTT DATA’s consulting services and BlackMesh’s FedRAMP compliant hosting solutions. The result is a DevOps environment that streamlines the delivery of new capabilities that meet security and production requirements.A value-added reseller of cloud, cyber security, big data and analytics, and integrated IT infrastructure solutions, CMA’s DaaS solution uses Red Hat’s ct (GWAC), integrates Red Hat’s OpenShift open source PaaS with NTT DATA’s consulting services and BlackMesh’s FedRAMP compliant hosting solutions. “CMA is proud to work with BlackMesh and NTT DATA to provide an innovative DevOps solution that leverages Red Hat’s OpenShift Enterprise,” CMA President Joe Corini said about the partnership and development effort. “Together we can deliver a much-needed and easily-consumable IT service offering through the NIH CIO-CS contract vehicle.”

“Because of its status as the first to deliver a FedRAMP-certified PaaS utilizing the Red Hat product suite, we recognized early on that BlackMesh is on the cutting edge of technology and knew partnering with them and NTT DATA on this effort would be beneficial,” Mr. Corini continued.

By adding NTT DATA integration services and BlackMesh’s federal hosting services to CMA’s contract vehicle, the team has developed a solution that will be a crucial asset to federal organizations that need to securely transform their communication, collaboration, and integration capabilities and methods.

BlackMesh’s open source deployment helps federal agencies thrive within the advancing and evolving world of cloud computing, by bringing Red Hat’s cloud solutions to public sector customers. Sponsored by the Department of Energy, BlackMesh, a certified Red Hat cloud provider, achieved FedRAMP authority to operate in April 2015. It is currently one of only 34 FedRAMP authorized cloud service providers.

In 2015, BlackMesh deployed its FedRAMP-certified SecureCloud PaaS offering. Built with OpenShift by Red Hat, the SecureCloud platform meets the strict requirements of federal government agencies using cloud computing and provides the highest level of security to vital government information.

The service provider hosts platforms that require Payment Card Industry (PCI), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagement No.16 (SSAE 16), and Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Impact Level 2 compliance standards. BlackMesh is in the final stages of achieving FedRAMP Revision 4 compliance.
